Brain stem stroke and worse arachnolditis pain

Started by Hj788 on 12/01/2017 1:58am

I have had chronic pain from arachnids. I have a pain pump. Two months I had a mild brain stem stroke. My leg pain and twitching is worse. Any suggestions?
Can a stroke cause this? Any information will be helpful. I still find is odd that most medical people seem to have no clue about arachnliditis or about pumps. How can we get more information to the Doctors and rehab folks. I have had my pump since 1992.

Hello, Hj788--thanks for your post! You pose some very interesting questions.

We aren't medical professionals, so we can't say for sure whether your stroke and your leg pain/twitching are related. However, since your leg pain worsened after the stroke, it would seem there is a connection.

This is a somewhat random question, but are you currently seeing a physiatrist? If not, we wonder if it would be worthwhile to consult with one. You can learn more about the disorders these doctors treat here: ( What Disorders Do Physiatrists Treat? ). Also, if you need help finding one near you, our doctor finder tool may help: https://www.spineuniverse.com/locate/spe...

We know this doesn't answer all of your questions, but we hope it is helpful. Keep us posted on how you're doing!
