bulging disk in L5-L1 area

I injured my back and now cant even do much anymore , have had a shot in lower back , which caused my blood pressure to rocket very high , ever since I've had that shot i ha ve had nothing but excruciating pain in back ,shoulders, and chest gets tight and pain in left arm been in and out of the hospital alot and cant find an explanation to this, my left arm gets a sharp spasm aching hurting feeling and I've tried heat but heat doesnt help i have to use ice i lay on ice on my back and one in my arm it takes about 20 minutes for pain to go away but I still have achingness in my arm and still hurts a little and cant really do much . Any advice will be great cant have surgery no insurance . ry

Hi, jlaney--thank you for your post! We are sorry to read about the adverse reaction you've had after your injection. Have you called the physician who administered the injection? Typically, physicians request you return 10-14 days after an injection to see how you responded to the therapy.

A sustained spike in pain after an injection is worth a call to your doctor. It very well could be nothing to worry about, but it's better to have the peace of mind of ruling out the injection as the cause. Please keep us posted on what you learn and how you're doing!
