Progression of Treatments or Surgeries

Please, you must smile while reading this entry or you can't read further. I found out that I developed osteoporosis 2 years after gastric bypass surgery. I already had fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis. In Sept. 2010 I had a spinal cord stimulator implanted and I love it. Before that surgery I had MRI's and knew I had degenerative changes in the sacral areas. I did see a endocrine specialist and my Tscores were stable. But last year I had 2 more Fxs at L2 and T11, separate times but with each I elected to have kypohoplasties. I had great results. After that I had a neuorsurgery consult and that discipline doesn't seem to look at kyphoplasties to favorably. Last week I had another bone scan after 4 weeks of new back pain, I can tell the differences as I'm sure you can too, and I have compression fractures of L4 and L5. My husband is due to go in for a cervicle laminectomy in 3 weeks. My pain doc moved to Florida. My timing sucks.I want to be able to help my husband in his recovery. God knows he has put up with enough of my problems. Should I go around re-establishing with someone to get another kyphoplasty or bite the bullet and wait for my inevitable bigger lumbar procedure? Oh, my original neurosurgeon also moved. Go figure!
