A 71-year-old widowed housewife presents with a long history of progressive low back pain. At presentation, her VAS is 8. Onset was insidious without a clear precipitating event. A 97-year old osteoporotic female presented with a four-day history of progressively worsening atraumatic back pain. She refused to sit, walk or lay on her side due to the severity of her pain. Pain was reported as 10/10.
The patient is a 67-year-old female with intermittent back pain that has become somewhat more severe for one year.
