Degenerative, traumatic, neoplastic (tumors) conditions and disc prolapses of cervical, thoracic and lumber spine, with or without fixation devices, tumors (ependymoma, astrocytoma, hemangioblastoma, meningioma) have been successfully removed. One patient with conus ependymoma paraplegic for the last 14 months began to move his legs after the tumour was radically removed by me.
I also do awake craniotomy for the brain tumors wherein patients are talking to me while I remove their tumors. In this I ensure complete excision of the tumor yet preserving the important brain functions should the tumor be anywhere near the eloquent area of the brain.
I have done shunts for NPH(normal pressure hydrocephalus) in patients over 80 years of age and has already become unconscious. These patients have been benefitted tremendously.
